Feeling small? Feeling like you can't make a mark? Well, I'm here to tell you this is just not the case. Visit my You Do! page to see your options.
Action requires emotion. Emotion creates action. The videos and stories I share here will have one thing in common. They have provoked some kind of emotion in me, emotions that make me want to act. My greatest hope is that they have a similar effect on you.

Orlando
Monday August 08, 2016
If you haven't heard, on June 12 a gunman shot into Pulse, a day nightclub in Orlando, Florida. In the end 50 people died and 53 were injured, making this the deadliest mass shooting by a single gunman in the United States since the September 11 attacks in 2001. This is also the deadliest incident of violence against LGBTQ+ people in U.S. history.
This event was devasting, but I like to try and find the positive... so I hope you like dogs.

White Boys and Dogs

This spectacular girl, Marley Dias was fed up with reading books about "white boys and dogs" so she decided to take matters into her own hands. She started a movement titled #100blackgirlbooks, she's trying to collect 1,000 books featuring black female protagonists to help increase the diversity in schools and help show "young black girls that there are stories that reflect experiences that are closer to what they have or their friends have."
I love what Marley is doing, I love that she saw something that she didn't agree with and did something about it.

This woman. The strength. The compassion. The love. Everything… This woman had the strength to battle a fight that she knew she would eventually lose, not only that but she had the strength to look into the future and find a way to help David and his family celebrate their life and their strength.
Not only that woman, but the people and organizations that contributed to making it possible for the wish to come true.
Hope I was able to supply you all with a little positivity.
